Bottle Rocket

Bottle Rocket is a comedy about three friends planning and training for an elaborate heist. However, they soon realize that preparing for such a scheme tends to be more complicated than any of them expected, especially for this bizarre trio. If you’re into movies full of wry humor and clumsy, yet endearing, characters then this film is one you could easily appreciate.
The film was co-written by Wes Anderson and Own Wilson, who also served as one of the main stars of the film along with his brother, Luke Wilson. The Wilson brothers also happen to be Dallas raised and bred. Bottle Rocket was Anderson’s first directional debut as well as being the first debut feature for the Wilson brothers. The movie was filmed in 1996 and marked the beginning of Dallas becoming a popular directing site for movies and TV shows alike. And although Dallas isn’t yet in Hollywood’s league when it comes to the hottest filming spots, more directors seems to be taking notice of the curious charm Dallas has to offer with both its tranquil suburbs and electrifying city life,

He has been nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for ‘The Royal Tenenbaums’ in 2001 and ‘Moonrise Kingdom’ in 2012, and for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature for ‘Fantastic Mr. Fox’ in 2009.
