The Dallas Arboretum
Opened 1982
The Dallas Arboretum opened in 1982. It is located on the shores of White Rock Lake on a 22 acre camp estate. The Arboretum features 15 brightly colored display gardens, and 10,000 square feet of indoor event space. Many photo-shoots are taken here, and it is a popular wedding venue and photo shoot location for bridal portraits.
The Arboretum is home to over 2,000 azalea species that bloom in the spring. Visitors are always fascinated by the ‘Paseo de Flores’, a walkway illuminated by beautifully colored plants. Recently, an exhibition by the renowned glass artist Dale Chihuly attracted record number of visitors to the Arboretum. The Dallas Arboretum is perfect for people of all ages, and is sure to attract a steady flow of nature lovers for years to come.
