The 6th Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza

Completed in 1940
The 6th Floor Museum is in the former warehouse of Texas School Book Depository. It’s located in downtown Dallas where JFK, the 35th President, was assassinated. on November 22, 1963 by Lee Harvey Oswald. The building is 7 stories tall and the 6th  floor is where the JFK museum is located. Here you can find films, artifacts, and photographs of JFK. They also have lots of free guides and special events.
2013 is the 50th anniversary of the JFK assassination in Dallas, and after the death of JFK in Dallas, lots of people had misconceptions about our city, and there has been lots of discussion about how to commemorate this tragic event. His death was a tragedy, but his life was an inspiration to us all, and is celebrated in the 6th floor museum.

 

 

Artifact:

Lee Oswald Harvey Was born on October 19 1939 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was the one who killed JFK when he shot him from the Texas School Book Depository. He was arrested on November 22, and was himself shot and killed by Dallas nightclub owner Jack Ruby, when he was being transferred to prison.
