Latino Cultural Center

Opened September 16, 2003

The Latino Cultural Center is a popular spot located right next to Downtown Dallas. The Latino Cultural Center is operated by the Dallas Office of Cultural Affairs which supports local, regional, and international artists. Here you will find all kinds of amazing artworks and they almost always have some kind of event going on in the amazing 300 seat theater.
The 27,000 square foot facility was designed by the Mexican architect Ricardo Legorreta and it is something you don’t want to miss if you visit Dallas. You can easily spot this building because of its brash colors including the purple campanile, which really stands out against the Dallas skyline. The LCC has a pleasant plaza where you can relax and enjoy the water feature that comes down the side of the auditorium. There are also sculptures by local artist in the plaza, and in the courtyards. The most dramatic artwork is the mural in the rotunda visitors can stare at it for hours on end!
