Opened 1964
Since its opening in 1964, Pleasant Oaks Recreation Center, located on Greenmound Ave, has been one of Pleasant Groves most visited, and recognizable parks. The park itself is full of things to do, and there are many sports related activities, such as two indoor basketball courts, soccer, baseball, and football fields. They provide childrens activities as well, including a game room where children can play games and have fun. Many other areas in the park are available to children as well, such as setting up games in the gym or playing outside on the fields
Pleasant Oaks hosts many competitions such as karate tournaments, model building, graffiti art competitions, and even amateur basketball and football tournaments. Probably the best part of visiting the park is to attend one of the annual events held there, such as the annual kite festival, carnival, and holiday festivals.
