Veterinarians are doctors who diagnose and treat animal illnesses or injures. They work with many kinds of animals depending on their specialization; such as Lrge animals, small animals, etc.. Veterinarians usually work long hours, since they must be ready or prepared in case of an emergency. Entry level veterinarians must complete a 2-year or 4-year veterinary technology program (or another program depending on their specialization), and must pass a state examination to acquire a license. Their work can be demanding and/or physically stressing and dangerous.
